Accompaniment
You're Not Alone
At Safe Harbor, our goal is to provide support for you in difficult times and we’ll walk with you on your journey of healing. Picking up the pieces after domestic or sexual abuse is not easy, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
Rape Kit Support
If you have been a victim of sexual assault, we encourage you to have a rape kit completed within 72 hours of your attack. We understand this may not be an easy choice or process, please reach out so that we can send a trained professional or volunteer advocate to provide you with compassionate support.
Available 24 / 7 / 365
Call us any time at 888-290-2935 or 605-226-1212. Walk-in support is also available Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. We have worked to build community response teams in each county to ensure quick and compassionate support.
Legal Support
Our staff and volunteer advocates will be by your side at court hearings to explain the process and what to expect for protection orders and other proceedings. We'll provide encouragement and support during your testimony so that you have the courage to share what the courts need to hear. If legal professionals are needed we help you secure free legal services where possible.
We Will Travel to You
If Brown County is not your home and a trip to Aberdeen is challenging, our Outreach Coordinator holds office hours throughout our servicing region. Connect with us at one of these locations if you need assistance with a protection order.
